FAQ
- What if I don't know my exact birth time?
- The Hour Pillar will be missing, but the Year, Month and Day pillars still stand. If you remember a rough period such as "around dawn" or "after lunch", true solar time helps narrow it down.
- What does true solar time correction do?
- It adjusts clock time by the longitude of your birth place (about 4 minutes per degree). Near an Hour-Pillar boundary this can change your hour pillar entirely.
- How do I read the Luck Cycles (Da Yun)?
- The chart lists the starting age of each 10-year cycle and its Gan-Zhi. The detail view reads each decade against the Ten Gods of your natal chart.
- How is BaZi different from Western astrology?
- BaZi reads destiny through the Five Elements and the Gan-Zhi of the pillars; Western astrology reads planets in signs and houses. They are different systems that can be compared against each other.
